Welcome

We extend to you a warm welcome to the Coolamon Preschool. Coolamon Preschool has been providing quality Preschool education in the Coolamon and surrounding areas for over 50 years. You and your child will become valued members of our preschool community.

A little bit about us...

Coolamon Preschool has been providing quality Preschool education in the Coolamon and surrounding areas for over 50 years.

We cater for 3-5 year olds and operate up to 5 days per week. We work closely with Thrive OSHC for Coolamon to provide working parents alternative care before and after Preschool.

We are open during school terms between 8:30am - 4pm.

Our Preschool is approved to take up to 30 children each day.

We offer places for children with additional needs and work in conjunction with other professionals to ensure programs are developed for each child's individual needs and development.

We have a strong connection with the local schools, library and local businesses.

Coolamon Preschool provides a learning environment which encourages the maximum use of the senses to develop abilities, skills and attributes conducive to further learning. Parents and families are children’s first educators, so we hope you share all the knowledge you have about your child with our educators.

Coolamon Preschool also aims to provide an environment which allows each child to develop and enhance self-expression and effective communication as well as developing positive attitudes towards themselves and others.

Children are treated as individuals and every effort is made to develop their full potential across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive developmental areas.

Coolamon Preschool is a partnership between educators, management committee, families, and the broader community supporting each other in their important roles.

“I love the copies of artwork and the personal journal entries recording things the children have said. Everything seems great so far, a good balance of learning & fun!”

"Thank you for welcoming our family into Preschool this year. It has been so comforting knowing that she is in such a safe, fun, caring environment. We have loved watching her build beautiful friendships, grow, learn and develop over this year. Her improvement in drawing, colouring, pencil grip, counting and confidence have been really exciting to see. (And writing her name!)

Thank you for all your hard work teaching our little ones & ensuring they are so well looked after, we are very grateful. And thanks for letting our kids be kids"

"Thank you for all you have done for us this year! He has learnt and grown so much and absolutely loves going to Preschool thanks to you girls"

Our Philosophy

We believe that early childhood education forms the foundation for lifelong learning. At Coolamon Preschool, we recognise that strong, trusting relationships—built over time in a supportive, respectful, and reciprocal environment—are essential for every child’s growth and wellbeing.

We provide a high-quality, play-based educational program guided by the principles, practices, and learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Through this approach, we foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in each child.

Our Team

Dedication. Expertise. Experience.

Our staff team reflects a diversity of education, training and life experience.  We recognise each team member as the professionals they are in this field of work. We draw upon each individual person's knowledge, experience and talents, encouraging an active culture of professional enquiry and continual improvement.
